I have just had a call from Hilary, to say that John died yesterday.

He had been in a care home since September and has been very unwell.

Hilary sat with him all day yesterday and was by his side at the end. despite knowing that it was coming, Hilary is in shock, as you might expect.

I have asked her to let us have funeral and charity details once she’s had the chance to gather her thoughts and put plans in place.

I have assured her of our thoughts and prayers. We will have the chance to remember them at our meeting on Thursday.
