Market Harborough fun

I am asked by our friends in Market Harborough (regular supporters of the Iberian Cluster) to let you know about a number of events we are holding during 2022 to celebrate 50 years of both Market Harborough 41 Club and Tangent, albeit some of the events have been delayed because of Covid restrictions in 2021! “We thought we would give you an opportunity to share with your Round Table Family Club members in Calpe and “Save the Date” for the events before we send out full details of each individually. “

So here they are:

Saturday 5th February – Another Zoom Murder Mystery

Over 200 people you have attended our previous extravaganzas that we hosted during various lockdowns – “Howl of the Basketcases” and “Death by Chocolate.” Following very encouraging feedback, we have decided to host another Zoom Murder Mystery on Saturday 5th February where we will get together again to join in an evening of Fun, Fellowship and Mystery.

We envisage the evening will follow the same approach as the previous ones – “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it” – with a themed Murder Mystery including audience participation and the opportunity for you to dine as well as join in the fun. This time around, you might like to take advantage of eased Covid restrictions by holding your own themed dinner party and invite along members of your Round Table Family and other friends to make it a real party night. Kathy & I so enjoyed the last one that we are already signed up for this one 😉)

Thursday 10th February – Duncan’s South African Safari

Market Harborough 41 Club member Duncan Murray is our local vintner (very convenient for us 41ers). He is very well known locally as an entrepreneur and raconteur who hosts wine and beer tasting evenings with a twist. He is also a speaker on the 41 Club Connects website

if you would like to book him for one of your meetings.

Our February 41 Club meeting will see Duncan taking us through a selection of South African drinks and complimentary food in his usual outrageous style at the Eco Village, St Mary’s Road, Market Harborough LE16 7DS

Eco Village UK (

We have limited room for guests so come and enjoy a great night with Duncan (and make sure you have a designated driver!!). First come, first served.

Saturday 5th March

Market Harborough 41 Club and Tangent were chartered in the same year and to celebrate we are holding a joint black tie dinner at Kilworth Springs Golf Club, South Kilworth Road, North Kilworth, Lutterworth LE17 6HJ.

We already have the National President of 41 Club Peter Good and his wife Lesley and National Tangent President Tracey Pickin with Alan booked in for the evening. So, come and join us for an evening of fellowship and fun, dancing to a live band in celebration.

Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July 41 Club National Car Rally – The “Three Counties” Tour

We are delighted to invite you to the 2022 41 Club Car Rally from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July. We will be based at the Three Swans Hotel, in the centre of Market Harborough – a former 16th Century coaching inn where King Charles I chose to visit back in 1645, the day before the famous battle of Naseby.

There will be a Welcome Party on the Friday night and a Rally Dinner on the Saturday night, both at the Three Swans. During Saturday and Sunday we will be touring the delightful countryside of the “Three Counties” and enjoying fun and fellowship with members of the Round Table Family from all parts of GB&I.

All the details of the event and how you can book into the Car Rally are in 41 Club’s October Newsletter on Pages 18 – 20 which you can access via the 41 Club Connects website.
