41 Club Connects – an update

A reminder about tonight’s 41 Club Connects Zoom Meeting AND how to win a bottle of 41 Club GinAt 8pm this evening, Wednesday 2nd June, we will be meeting with Jamie Rudland of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. Jamie is Groups & Affinity Account Manager at Fred Olsen – i.e. the chap in charge of their relationship with 41 Club. Please note – it is today, Wednesday not Thursday as we are shifting days from June, in response to member feedback from those members who were unable to attend previous meetings due to diary clashes on Thursday evenings. We appreciate some of our regular Thursday viewers might have such clashes on Wednesdays and can only apologise if that is the case.  Tonight’s talk should be interesting for those into cruises and for those considering cruises for the first time, and indeed for anyone just interested in how cruise lines have coped with the pandemic.  Jamie will be speaking on:

  1. new recently launched itineraries for 2022-23
  2. Fred Olsen’s “back in the water plans” for this summer
  3. the new 2022 group cruise
  4. and also an update on how the Fred Olsen has performed since the pandemic

It should be a cracker.  To join go to: https://zoom.us/j/91326891340No password required. It should also be streamed live on the Facebook 41 Club Members’ Forum. You can find all the links at www.41ClubConnects.co.uk Like all our talks, it is open to all members of The Round Table Family and their guests.

June 1st – 7th is Volunteers Week WHAT IS VOLUNTEERS’ WEEK?
See www.volunteersweek.org : Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year. It’s a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and say thank you.
Volunteers’ Week 2021 is a time to say thanks. It goes without saying that volunteers have played a key role in the pandemic response. During an exceptionally difficult year, people from all walks of life around the UK have taken the time to volunteer and make a huge difference to their communities – just as they do every year. This is a time for us to come together and thank all volunteers for their invaluable contribution.
41 Club is brimming with members who volunteer to make life better within their communities – to all those members we salute you.
If you have stories you would like featured in the Newsletters for June or July please let us know what you do. #41Club#Continuingtodomore

FINALLY… A repeat of last week’s message: If you didn’t receive your 41 Club Bandana through the post recently it is likely to mean that your address is wrong in our Club Administration System – or that you aren’t listed at all.
Unfortunately Marchesi House has been swamped with copies of the Spring Magazine and the bandanas which have been returned simply because members addresses haven’t been updated.
With CAS2 its very simple to check your details yourself – every member can check their own details – here is how.

  1. Simply go to: https://cas.41club.org/members
  2. Enter your email address. If your email address is in CAS it will send you a secure log-in to that email address.
  3. When you receive your log-in, click on it and view your details – and amend if necessary. If you do make amendments don’t forget to Save the amendments.
  4. Log-off – job done.

Any queries or problems remember that we are here to help you.  Keep safe.
