This is a reminder to join us this Thursday (6th May 2021)for our latest 41 Connects Zoom Event by going to https://zoom.us/j/96246028945 on your tablet, laptop, desktop, or phone (or alternatively via YouTube account at https://tinyurl.com/41clubyoutube ) at 8pm (please note the later start time). This Week’s Speaker is Norman Bartlett RN.
Timed before V.E. Day as it is a tribute to those who served in WW2. Hosted by Fleet 41 Club, we will be joining them at 8pm (please note the later start time) to meet Norman Bartlett, who served in the Royal Navy during WW2.
Born on 26th March 1926, Norman enlisted in the Royal Navy in 1942 aged 16 (he should have been 17 to join!). He served in the Northern Atlantic, the Western Approaches and the Far East.
This evening will be in support of The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans (see www.taxicharity.org ). 41 Club will be donating £400 to the charity – if any of you wish to donate additional sums after hearing Norman speak you may do so via https://www.taxicharity.org//donations

Next Week’s 41 Club Connects Event We invite you to join us on Thursday 13th May to meet John McGovern, former Captain of Nottingham Forest during the Bryan Clough era when they won the European Cup.

You should have received details of the new national charity fund raiser – “On Yer Bike” – organised by Peter Walker, National Councillor Region 9, and Tom Atkins, the former NCLO who retired at the AGM, in a separate email – please give them your support.
Feedback on the Spring Magazine has been very positive, and on the accompanying Bandana too from the National Membership Officer, Glen Lyon, to keep you safe and to promote 41 Club – although not universally so: See the forthcoming May Newsletter to find out more. Keep safe.
Yours in Continued Friendship Don Mullane, National Comms & I.T. Officer, The Association of Ex-Round Tablers’ Clubs (41 Club)
