Three of our earliest members, Phil Ashton, Andrew Johnson and Ron Wasik, are also members of Lutterworth 41 club. Phil is also a long serving member of Atherstone 41. For some years now Lutterworth and Atherstone have faced each other in a summer bowls challenge. Lutterworth has a good record of success, but this year, like last, Atherstone won – this year conclusively!
National President, Barry was there with Rachel his wife, and Andrew presented each club with our new banner.

Calpe and District 41 Club 
It was lovely to get out after my recent accident. Rachel drove the Presidential limo. She enjoyed the bowls and is threatening to come back next year. Lutterworth obviously need me on the team!
It was a lovely evening, despite the fact that I could not bowl – Rachel drove me and she played. Next year I will have to play for Lutterworth as it was a 5-0 whitewash – but that did not seem to matter. A lovely £70.08 was raised for Shelter, so that to all those who donated.
