I have just received the following sad message from our founder member and Past Chairman, Derick Berridge –

“Maggie finally left me last Thursday. She just died in her sleep without any warning. I think that she had enough of her frustrations over the last 6 months. It is so sad but a relief for her.”

I have asked him to keep in touch, as part of a very personal message from us.

Maggie was such a character and an important part of 41 Club life. she could tease, compliment and challenge all at once, without causing offence.

Kathy and I have kept contact back in the UK, partly because we discovered early on that our joint history pre-dated life in Spain by a couple of decades. We were both in clubs in south Leicestershire and both knew some of the same locals rather well. Indeed the family of our regular have lived in Calpe for over 20 years and serviced our pool and our house for us.

Bless you, Maggie. And thank you for the memories. Rest in Peace.
