On Thursday 23 May, Calpe & District 41 Club celebrated their 18th Charter Night Anniversary Dinner Dance at their favoured venue, Restaurante Puerto Blanca in Calpe.

The evening started with a Cava Reception in the beautiful gardens of the Restaurante and then guests moved into the dining room for a classic Puerto Blanco dinner.The event was attended by this year’s National President Wynn Parry and his wife Heather.

After a welcome from Past Chairman Malcolm Lee, Wynn made a short speech in support of the Club and then inducted Hugh Stewart as the new Chairman.

When the formal proceedings were complete, guests were able to dance the night away to the sounds of Kenny’s Cabaret. The celebrations did not end there!

On Friday, the National President and his wife were treated to a tour of the local area followed by a paella lunch, a later, a more formal supper at a beach side restaurante.

Finally, on Saturday, visitors and members alike enjoyed a tapas evening. All in all, a very successful long weekend, and chief organiser Stuart Badman must be congratulated on putting together a faultless celebration. Roll on next year!
