I have been to the hospital for heart tests this morning and the results were not very good
They put a camera lens in a tube in my arm to see my heart and put various liquids in another tube to see what the problem is
From the results it would appear that I have one damaged heart valve and a blockage in another one and a Atrial Fibrillation problem that is making the heart pump more than it should be (but only small ones not a full squeeze which means the heart is working more than it should )
This means at present I need a new valve and possibly a Double Bypass operation which is about 6 hours long
I have another appointment in about 2 weeks to do a more detailed test via my throat to decide what and when they need to do ( and possibly decide if the risk is too high to operate)
To top it all we have to cancel our cruise
The news is not we were expecting but at least we now know
Regards
Stuart
